Let's Shine provides inclusive, accessible, interactive and fun, music workshops for young people with SEND.
Our workshops are based around well known and traditional stories. The workshops take the children on a musical adventure as we navigate the stories. We will explore lots of different musical ideas and themes including :
All of the activities will be differentiated to make them as accessible as possible for each child attending the workshop.
As well as the workshop room, there will be a Quiet Room for children who wish to take a break from the activities. This will be a calm environment which aims to give children, who might be feeling overwhelmed, some time away from the activities.
During the workshops, a parent/carer is required to stay with your child and will remain responsible for that child at all times. However, as each child is different, please feel free to join in as much or as little as you wish in order for your child to get the best individual experience from the workshop. Please do not hesitate to speak to the Let's Shine team about which approach works best for your child.
The workshops will be held on the last Saturday of every month, commencing 30th March 2019 at Newspring Church, Illingworth Street, Ossett, WF5 8AL.
There are two different sessions for different age ranges.
